For the last fourteen years of my thirty years teaching career, I was working with Years 5 and 6, making sure that they were ready for their transition to secondary school. Seeing them using their English skills across the curriculum, independently, has been one of the most rewarding aspects. I have harnessed my belief that children learn more when they move more. I have produced active methods for embedding the highest standard of written work in those under my care. As an English and Maths tutor (KS2), I want to make learning fun and active. This way they learn more: the correct use of punctuation; grammar rules; spelling correctly, and writing in an engaging fashion. If they live it, they learn it.
