Tutoring

For the last fourteen years of my thirty years teaching career, I have been working with Years 5 and 6, making sure that they are ready for their transition to secondary school. Seeing them using their English skills across the curriculum, independently, has been one of the most rewarding aspects. I have harnessed my belief that children learn more when they move more and produced active methods for embedding the highest standard of written work in those under my care. As an English tutor, I want to make learning fun and active: this way they learn more: the correct use of punctuation; grammar rules; spelling correctly, and writing in an engaging fashion. If they live it, they learn it.
